Helping Youth Cope with Day to Day Life

About Us

THE JENNIFER CLAIRE MOORE FOUNDATION

The Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit corporation that provides high school, middle, intermediate and elementary school educational programs designed to help young people cope with the day-to-day pressures of life.  The Foundation's signature program, "Peer Helper and Peer Leader", began in Foley High School in 1998 and is currently offered  in every Baldwin County public school as well as two private schools for the 2011/2012 school year.

The Foundation has provided training on a statewide level to school systems interested in the Baldwin County Peer Helper model. Our goal is to intensify these efforts and reach even more communities in the coming year and expand programs including specific programs designed to reduce high school dropout rates.

The Peer Helper Program has approximately 1,000 students certified as peer helpers thru out schools in Baldwin County.    From the various functions sponsored by the Peer Helpers there has been over 15,000 Students touched by the Peer Helper Programs in Baldwin County.  Additionally, several other schools across the state of Alabama have been certified to teach the Peer Helper Course by the Baldwin County Peer Helper Instructors and these schools have now added the course to their curriculum.

MISSION

To provide today’s youth with the knowledge, resources and confidence needed to successfully navigate the pres-sures of day-to-day life on their journey from childhood to adulthood.
