2013 National Peer Helpers Conference


Harness the power of young people to help one another and make a difference in their world! The 2013 National Peer Helpers Conference, “Making a Difference: Effective Peer-to-Peer Support Programs,” provides a forum for the adult leaders of youth peer-to-peer programs. The conference, presented by the Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation, offers training, education, best practices, ideas, resources and networking. Educators, counselors, mental health practitioners, school administrators, non-profit professionals and others can learn how to establish, maintain or energize a peer program for their schools or community agencies. This program has been approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors.

Conference: Wednesday, February 27 – Friday, March 1. Participants may choose a day-long track on Wednesday and breakout sessions on Thursday and Friday, or they may choose to attend Thursday/Friday breakout sessions only.

The conference is co-sponsored by the National Association of Peer Program Professionals, and all sessions may be utilized toward fulfillment of NAPPP’s Certified Peer Program Educator designation or as continuing education for CPPEs.
